about the programme
A busy season for the programme editor started with three pre-season friendlies, all of which were accompanied by a 4-page programme. Another friendly was played in mid-January and two testimonials took place at the end of the season. And what a season it was. The twenty-three league programmes charted a season that ended in glorious style with promotion. Manager Pat Saward’s notes were a great read, his thoughtful commentary on Albion and football in general made really good reading. The Football League Review was again included, but not stapled into the programme.
