about the programme
It was very much ‘as you were’ for the programme in 84/85, in terms of the content. The cover was re-vamped and the internal design changed a little, but ‘Seagull News’, ‘Scene Around The Goldstone’, ‘Action Replay’ and ‘Voicepiece’ stayed from the previous campaign. Manager Chris Cattlin penned his ‘Comment Corner’ and the opposition were covered over 4 pages. Statistics and commercial information was followed by ‘With a Little Help from my Friends’, a look at the people behind the players. All in all, another good read from Albion’s programme team, although the cover price was raised from 35p to 40p. The 21 league issues were supplemented by full 32-pagers for the Milk Cup tie against Aldershot and the FA Cup 3rd round tie against Hull City. There was just now (home) pre-season friendly, against Arsenal, and 1 post-season game against a Sussex Sunday League XI
