1983/84 - division two
about the programme
After the craziness of the previous season, 1983/84 was relatively calm. The programme retained a similar design, the same number of pages and very similar inside content. Just 24 programmes were needed; the 21 league games plus 2 in the FA Cup and one in the Milk Cup. The FA Cup 4th round paired us with Liverpool at the Goldstone and although the programme was the standard 32-page issue, it was designated n ‘official souvenir’. Friendlies included a game against Manchester United for the Townsend Thoresen Cup, Spurs (with a programme that was incorrectly dated 1982), and at the end of the season, a testimonial for Gary Williams. This was due to be against Crystal Palace but after they pulled out, the game was played between an Albion Xi and an Ex Albion XI.
