1975/76 - division three
about the programme
From the very big the previous season, it was the very small for 75/76 as Albion opted for a 16-page pocket-sized programme for the Division Three campaign. Up until the end of 1975, the front cover carried an action picture, but in the new year, this was replaced with a picture of Albion fans, displaying a Go ‘at ‘em Brighton’ banner, above the match details on a white background. Twenty-four programmes were issued, the additional one coming right at the start of the season, for the League Cup tie against Brentford. It was a busy season for friendly programmes. Wolves came to the Goldstone at the beginning of August 1975 (4-pager) and in October 75, Albion hosted Stoke City to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the formation of the club. A 28-page programme was issued for this one. Ipswich came down in February (4 pages) with Spurs visiting in March ‘76 for Joe Kinnear’s testimonial. Finally, at the end of April, Norwich City were the visitors (another 4-pager).
